The Parliament on Thursday agreed to study a proposal by 200 MPs for extending the current Parliament’s term to two years and delaying the parliamentary elections to April 2011.
This extension and elections delay will enable political parties to get enough time for reaching a deal to carry out electoral reforms, said MPs in a request signed by 200 MPs, the majority of 301-member Parliament.
