Six soldiers and seven people, including two women, have been injured in clashes between security forces and separatists in al-Dhale on Thursday.
The tension sparked after security forces stormed houses in al-Dhale city at dawn on Saturday and arrested some people the authorities said they are wanted for irritating riots and killing of a local intelligence official.
Seven members and leaders in the separatist Southern Movement have been arrested in the security crackdown.
This new tension in al-Dhale comes two days after President Saleh said the security authorities will not be tolerant with anyone carries out sabotage acts.
