Report: Expelling the population, forcibly replacing them with militias in al-Hodaidah province

The militias practice a policy of the terrorism and the intimidation on civilians living in densely populated neighborhoods, forcing them to flee and vacate houses.

The Houthis later transferred the houses into military barracks and ammunition stores. That is what happened in the neighborhood of Ghulail area in al-Hawk district.

A Katyusha rocket fell down on Monday in al-Dahmeya in the district which did not explode, but residents of the neighborhood were forced to flee.

 The militia rushed to occupy homes abandoned by residents and deployed air guns and dozens of gunmen.

The militia also fired artillery shells nearby Tuberculosis Hospital in Jamal Street, forcing the residents of the buildings to evacuate them and the militias stationed instead.

The targeting of residential neighborhoods repeated with Katyusha rockets and mortar shells in al-Hodaidah city.

During the last three days, the militias raided houses at Al-Nasr Street in July 07th area, including the house of the secretary of the Yemeni Socialist Party Mr. Abdulhafedh al-Zuraiqi and the dozens of houses surrounding it.

The Kuwait hospital is also turned by the militias into military barracks amid forcing its staff to work for the militias so as to treat the injured of Houthis

The militia deployed anti-aircraft weapons at al-Tawasul Foundation, one of the most active institutions in al-Hodaidah province.

It also deployed anti-air guns on the surface of the al-Wahedi and al-Hammadi Halls in the 50th and 7th of July neighborhood.

Snipers were deployed on the roof of the High Star Hotel, which separates them from the confrontation areas within only 2 km.
