UAE Red Crescent: 700,000 Yemeni benefits from releif Aid

More than 700,000 Yemenis have benefited from relief aid and service projects carried out by the Red Crescent Society of the United Arab Emirates in 2018, Year of Zayed, in the liberated areas of the West Coast, the UAE Red Crescent said.

The Society said in a statement issued on Thursday that it has carried out 100 projects and sent emergency relief convoys to the affected areas and areas of seam zone with the Houthis in an effort to normalize the lives of residents in the West Coast.

The Red Crescent Society announced that it has launched an integrated plan for the reconstruction of the West Coast during the year at a cost of AED 107,100,000.

It has been rehabilitated 143 km on the international coastal road, the rehabilitation of 43 schools, the rehabilitation of 13 medical clinics, maternity and childhood centers, supplying solar electricity services to thousands of homes and the drilling of 58 wells with their pumps.

The Society announced its intention to rehabilitate 9 fishing marinas, establish a fish market and set up small production projects to support the families of martyrs and vulnerable families, including 24 bakeries benefiting from the production of 4,320,000 million people and rehabilitation of 50 farms.

The Society also strengthening the electricity sector, the lighting the main roads by solar energy and the implementation of 29 initiatives in the field of small production projects, and ownership the families of the martyrs, and the delivery of 10 cars to Concern’ centers.

According to the report, the Red Crescent Society has implemented 100 development, service and social projects along the West Coast.
