Al-Hodeida IDPs receive UNHCR's remittances

The United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) on Thursday distributed remittances to the displaced in Tehama region.


The subsidy, which is an amount of Y.R 150,000 per a displaced family in al-Hodeidah reached the districts of the west coast, south al-Hodeida.

Dozens eligible people had came to receive remittances that are sent by Al-Amal Bank and its partners through the UNHCR program.

The Mawzah Exchange in Mocha coastal Center is a partner and a cash receipt point for the UNHCR.

Displaced people confirmed before the receiving center to Newsyemen that the subsidy helps them to a certain extent in meeting the needs of everyday life, and they hope the subsidy would be continued.

This package includes some 400 displaced families, preceded by a package of displaced persons in the Mocha and its villages, and those who are affected by the war.

UNHCR receives support from donors, led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
