Houthi landmine kills seven in al-Hodeida

Seven workers were killed on Monday by a Houthi landmine between Mahl al-Sheikh and Kilo 16 areas in al-Hodeida province, west Yemen, eyewitnesses said.

They added that the planted landmines exploded at the seven people which pushed them in hole and others on the land floor.

Four people have been identified, confirming that they were construction workers, they confirmed.

The workers were called by Houthi militias to dig a tunnel between the areas of Mahl al-Sheikh and Kilo 16 areas.

The seven are from al-Maraweah district are working in daily wages have been hired by the Houthi militias.

Earlier, Newsyemen has revealed that the Houthi militias planted landmines in those areas that have been killed or injured many victims, including children.
