Houthis deploy new naval mines in inte'l shipping route

The Houthi militias have deployed naval explosive device mines in the international shipping route off the Red Sea, a military source told Newsyemen.
The Naval Formation Forces of the fifth military region found ten mines near the sea of Maqrasha island.
The source said that the naval mines are modern and different from their previous and equipped with magnetic detonators that attract and chase iron objects and detonate them.
An engineering team of the Coast Guard had detonated them off the coast of Midi on the Red Sea, he added.
The source said to Newsyemen that this type of mines is new and dangerous in threatening of the International Maritime Navigation.
At the end of November last year, the Naval Formation Forces destroyed twenty-five marine mines that had been found earlier.
