Army repulses Houthi attack in al-Baida, kills leader

A field Houthi leader was killed and another was injured in clashes with the Army in al-Sawadiya district in al-Baida province, a local source said on Saturday Newsyemen.

The source added that the army foiled a Houthi infiltration attempt in Qaneya front after the latter was able to detonate a military vehicle of 117th  infantry brigade by an improvised explosive device.

He added that the clashes broke out after the infiltration attempt, killing a number of the militias' gunmen, including the killing of Abu Fahad al-Riyami, and injuring of another Houthi leader Abdullah Moqbel al-Khabrani known by "Abu Moqbel".

Eleven soldiers, mostly of the 117th Infantry Brigade in al-Baida axis were killed or wounded on Friday night after Houthis planted an improvised explosive device on a road militia on the Horan Qaneya road.
