Islah gunmen at 17th Brigade kidnap security official in Taiz

A security source at al-Mudafar Police Department in Taiz province confirmed that gunmen of the 17th Infantry Brigade kidnapped a security official under the pretext of killing the girl child Noran al-Zagrori.

A source said to Newsyemen that gunmen at the 17th Infantry Brigade allied to Islah Party kidnapped the Captain Muhaned al-Mekhlafi, a deputy police director at al-Mudafar Department, and took him to an unknown destination.

The source suggested that the threats of the chairman of the 17th Infantry Brigade, the Colonel Abdo Hamoud al-Saghir, to Police director the Colonel Abdullah Saeed al-Wahbani under the pretext of the killing of Noran, as two accused were detained then they were released by Taiz Security director, the Brigadier General al-Akhali.

According to the source, the Colonel Abdo Hamoud al-Saghir, who is an Islah leader, called on al-Mudafar Police Department to stop pursuing the accused unless there is a position for the Brigade, which today represents the kidnapping of his deputy, Muhanad al-Mekhlafi.
