The Yemeni national currency has declined again against the US dollar on Wednesday affected by the actions of the Houthi militias against commercial and Islamic banks in Sana'a.

The price of the national currency fell against foreign currencies amid the following a two-week decline, recording Y.R 600 for 1 dollar; and Y.R 159 against 1 Saudi Riyal.

Informed source said to Newsyemen that the Houthi militia ordered the banks in Sana'a to sell 1 dollar to traders against Y.R 440, the same as the exchange of the Central Bank of Aden allocated to finance the basic commodities.

The Houthi's pressure on banks in Sana'a caused to stop dealing with the central bank in Aden, and close letters of credits at the Central Bank of Aden.
