Militias shelling causes wave of displacement in Hajjah's villages

Dozens of families in four villages in Kushar district in Hajjah province northwest Yemen, were displaced by the hysterical bombing of the Houthi militias on civilians' homes.

A local source reported that a large wave of displacement is taking place in the villages of Bani Shriya, Bani Rassam, Al-Shathamah and Bani Shous in Kushar district, as a result of indiscriminate shelling by the Houthi militias.

Displacement came in coincided with the continued armed confrontations between the Houthi militias on the one hand and the Hajoor's fighters, on the other hand.

The clashes resumed after the Houthis opened a new front on the southern side of the district amid the tribes' fighters tightened their grip on the armed militias in other fronts.

Earlier, the Arab Coalition jets launched air strikes targeting concentrations and locations of the militias in the area.

The coalition aircraft carried out 6 raids targeting Houthi groupings, vehicles and artillery in Mandalah area, east al-Abaisa in Kushar district in Hajjah province.

The Arab Coalition said that that the raids killed and wounded Houthi militias, and caused the destruction of the militias' military vehicles.
