UN: the GPC leadership was forced to go along with the Houthis

The UN Security Council experts confirmed that the Houthi militias leadership has reduced the role and participation of the General People's Congress (GPC) in Sana'a amid the militias' grip on governmental and non-governmental institutions.
The experts explained that the leadership of the General People's Congress - the party of the former President Ali Abdullah Saleh, who was assassinated by the coup militias on December 4, 2017, was forced to go along with the Houthis.
According to the report, the team continued to face difficulties in reaching the places it wants to inspect, and the team expressed regret for the Houthi militias' delaying so far to allow him to visit Sana'a.
