The United Kingdom has been blackmailing the Arab Coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, by proposing projects at the Security Council for a ceasefire since 2016.

It recommended the Sultanate of Oman to host the Houthi leaders, and did media and political marketing in coordination with Iran and Lebanese Hezbollah.

Britain had given the green light to many organizations to distort the Arab Coalition without approaching the crimes of the Houthi militias, the Iranian arm in Yemen, before London announced in April 2017 its intention to investigate what it called possible war crimes of the Arab Coalition.

In February 2018, Britain was able to appoint its citizen Martin Griffiths as a new envoy to Yemen to complete the task of normalization with the Houthis, and his mission began with attempts to coup on the three reference points, appeasing the Houthis of dozens of visits to Sana'a.
