The Houthi militias continue to detain dozens of leaders and cadres, of the General People's Congress (GPC) headed by Mohammed M. Abdullah Saleh and Affash Tariq Saleh, close relatives of the Martyr Ali Abdullah Saleh, and they are subjected to various violations whether on the physical, psychological or at social level.

The issue of the detainees at the Houthi militias' jails in general and the GPC detainees in particular is one of the most heinous crimes committed by the Houthi gang against their opponents. This issue can be described as a forgotten issue that is only be discussed when a negotiations or consultations round between the militias and the Hadi's government.

The prisoners' file was one of the negotiating files during the Sweden consultations, is now stalled because of the intransigence of the Houthi militias in providing information about detainees.

Informed sources said to Newsyemen that there is an understanding between the Legitimate government and the Houthi militias to release about 17 detainees as a first batch, and the issue is currently being negotiated with.

The cadres and the leaders of the GPC at Houthis' jails are still remaining the most forgotten file and far from attention by the all.

The sources added that about 180 detainees are still at the Houthi militias' jails, some of them were detained and kidnapped upon the December Uprising by the armed militias.

The Houthi militias refuse to talk or release any information about ten detainees. The armed militias deny that they had detained the ten, but the detainees' family members insisted and confirmed that they were detained by the armed militias after the December Uprising 2017.
