Militias commit 6300 violations in Taiz in four years

In a new statistic of the Houthi militias' crimes  a rights report documented at least 6,300 violations committed by the Houthi militias in al-Shaqb area in Saber al-Mawadem district in Taiz province within four years.

A rights report issued by the Human Rights and Monitoring Committee in al-Shaqb area disclosed that the militias' violations were observed between September 2015 and mid-March.

The report monitored 55 cases of extrajudicial killings, including 10 cases of children and 8 women, while three civilians were killed and 11 injured, including women in the Houthi mine explosion.

In the context, the report documented 31 cases of abduction were carried out by the Houthi militias against civilians in al-Shaqb,  in addition to monitoring four cases of torture.

The report said that the militias forcibly displaced 94 families from their homes in al-Shaqb area, while 600 families were displaced because of the Houthis' practices.

The report pointed out that the physical damage at homes and property of the population in the area amounted to 713 cases, 3,400 projectiles were fired by the militias on the area varied among Katyusha rockets, mortar's shells and RPG.
