A diesel truck driver was shot dead by members of the Houthi militias at a checkpoint in al-Arsh district in al-Baida province, central Yemen.

A local source told Newsyemen that the incident came when the driver refused to pay fines or royalties imposed by the Houthi militias, in particular for the truck oil derivatives driver.

The driver tried to convince the Houthi members at Thah checkpoint in the district that he paid earlier in known checkpoints.
