The Houthi militias have stopped all transactions and disbursements of the Roads Fund of the Ministry of Public Works and Roads in the capital Sana'a.

Informed sources told Newsyemen that militias leader Mahdi al-Mashat suspended all the accounts of the road fund and prevented any disbursements from the Roads Fund.

Mahdi al-Mashat also prevented the Minister of Works and Road Ghaleb Mutlaq, who is affiliated with the pro-militias of the Southern Movement, to disburse any amounts from the Fund.

According to the sources, these actions come in the context of differences between the leadership of militias, which seeks to seize the road funds and divert them to spend on militias in the so-called War Effort.

Mahdi al-Mashat, the head of the Houthi Political Council and other Houthi leaders, accused Labor Minister Ghaleb Mutlaq of corrupting after he refused to allocate funds to some of the military leaders of the Houthi militias.

The Houthi militias had previously accused southern leaders such as Nasser Baqzquz and Ahmed al-Qana as corrupted people, and sought to replace them with very close Houthi leaders.
