Armed militias detain 100 women, children as human shields

The General Michael Lollesgaard, the head of the UN Redeployment Coordinating Committee met Tuesday with the people of al-Duraihemi district.

The Major General Lollesgaard listened to the people's complaints against and their demands to set free their relatives about 100 women and children.

He also listened to vivid facts and details of crimes and mass abuses of children and women committed by the Houthi militias.

The people said to the UN official that the militias are holding about 100 civilians, children and women of al-Duraihemi and using them as human shields.

They called on the UN official to help them to take their relatives out of al-Duraihemi who are under daily and continuous brutal bombardment by Houthi militias despite the ceasefire agreement, but none of this has changed.
