Health official warns of health disaster due to cholera outbreak in Taiz

An official source at the medical sector of the Nasserite Party in Taiz branch warned of a health disaster in Taiz because of the spreading of cholera, calling on the competent authorities to save the city from the epidemic outbreak.
The source stressed that the health situation in the city has become tragic in light of the difficult circumstances facing the city stricken four years of siege, war and health care in the lack of adequate resources in coverage of health services.
The source appealed to the President, the government, the Ministry of Health and the leadership of the Arab Coalition and health organizations operating in Yemen to pay attention to Taiz city.
It is noteworthy that the World Health Organization announced the increase in deaths of cholera in Yemen to 291 cases since the beginning of the year 2019.
The infected cases reached 147927 people from the beginning of the year until March 28.
In Taiz city, statistics indicate that deaths from cholera are 30 and injuries are 6150 Infected, with the latest official statistics.
