Altercation causes clashes between 17th Infantry Brigade, Military Police: killing three solider, gunman

Three soldiers and a gunman were killed and a civilian seriously wounded by violent clashes between the Military Police Forces and members of the 17th Infantry Brigade and tribal militants on Tuesday in Taiz province.

The problem began with an assault on the officer Rafik al-Nedhami, the officer responsible for paying salaries of the 17th Brigade within the Military Police, a security source told Newsyemen.

The officer al-Nedhami went out the Military Police Department and filed a complaint against the attackers in which Taiz axis ordered to arrest the perpetrators, the source added.

"Two military vehicles of the 17th Infantry Brigade rushed to the headquarters of the Military Police to deport the attackers of the prison axis", the source said.

He continued that "the guards of the headquarters refused to allow them, altercation was erupted between the two parties, some people of Saber intervened in the clashes."

The clashes killed three individuals of the Military Police Forces and a gunman of Sabr, while a civilian was seriously injured, the source added.

Safee al-Saberi's car was also burned due to the armed clashes, the source concluded.
