The pipeline is the first strategic pipeline to pump oil in Yemen, and was created at the end of the eighties of the last century at great cost.

The move by the Houthi militias would cause catastrophic environmental consequences on the ground and on humans, Safer company added.

The company has stopped pumping oil through this pipeline since the Houthi invaded Sana'a in Sep. 2014 and remained the quantities of crude oil that keep the main line pipe from corrosion and rust.
