MASAM: 6647 mines, non-exploded ordnance were lifted in Yemen in March

An official source at MASAM Demining Programme said that it lifted 1229 non- exploded landmines in the fourth week of March in a number of the liberated areas. 

Program Manager of the Saudi Project for Landmines Clearance in Yemen (MASAM) Ousama al-Gosaibi said that during the fourth week of March, the teams removed 738 anti-tank mines and 28 antipersonnel mines.

During the same week, 448 non-exploded ordnance, 15 explosive devices were lifted.

He explained "since the beginning of this month, the field teams have displaced 6,647 mines and non-exploded ordnance, bringing the total of what have been removed since the start of the project last June to 28 March,28, last month, are 52777.

(52777) are Mines, improvised explosive devices and ammunition were planted by the Houthi militias backed by Iran in many areas in Yemen.
