Tens of thousands of people of al-Hodeida province left their houses since the beginning of last year, many people were displaced approximately amounted to a million due to the war.

The displaced people distributed into the Capital Sana'a, Sana'a, Ibb, Aden, Lahj and Hajjah provinces.

Many houses of the people of al-Hodeida were destroyed or damaged after the armed militias shelled the houses with shells and bullets, the people then have no choice only to leave their cities, villages and areas to survive.

Al-Rebat refugees camp in Lahj is one of the displacement camps for the people of Tehama region - especially of  al-Hodeida province, outside their province. By the end of 2018, Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the camp had reached 470.

By the end of March 2019, the number of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) number had increased to 650 families, causing severe overcrowding in the camp.

Some live outdoors without shelter or tents to protect them from heat at the afternoon and cold at the evening

It was not the pain and the siege enough for the people who gotten displaced out of their houses, but also they currently lives new tragedy in the diaspora.

All camp residents have become fully dependent on food aid that reaches them every two to three months. Sometimes they did not find nothing to eat, most, if not all, children are malnourished.

While the world's children are at schools, we see al-Hodeida's children are working in cleaning cars, and begging on streets so as to help their families.

The girls at the camp suffer from harassment because of the poor sanitary conditions, and the absence of toilets.

The IDPs also suffer from sand wind, high heat during the day, lack of health services, and lack of food aid.
