A security crackdown disclosed hideouts of members of al-Qaeda in Hamara valley in al-Mahfad district in Abyan province on Tuesday.
The crackdown found hand grenades, explosives, slides and cell phones of al-Qaeda members who fled the area. sources at the Security Belt Forces said to Newsyemen.
The Belt Campaign continues under the leadership of Abdullatif al-Sayyid and Abdul Rahman al-Shanini until the security crackdown purge the area of al-Qaeda elements.
The Security Belt Forces took control of Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda camp in the district, and it found shells and other weapons.
