Donor funds are Expenses of the United NationsEnglish - Thursday 11 April 2019 الساعة 05:14 pm
The United Nations launched the Humanitarian Response Plan in Yemen in the early days of the war, but the humanitarian crisis is worsening one day after another, despite the massive international mobilization of funds under the banner of the worst disaster in the world.
Since 2015, the response plan amounts to $ 6.265 billion, and in 2018 it reached $ 2 billion and $ 700 million. Despite the large numbers, it did not change the disastrous humanitarian situation in Yemen, as only 40% of UN aid reached those in need.
The United Nations will cut 50 per cent of the funds for conferences, risks and Staff, and the humanitarian impact of aid is lacking in the absence of a supervisory and governmental role.
