Tribal sources in al-Baida province disclosed on Monday that the military campaign launched by the militias Houthi on Saturday in al-Zaher district aims to control the strategic mountain overlooking the first areas of Lahj province.

The Houthi militias have continued their attacks day and night since for a week to seize the strategic mountain of Halmous, overlooking al-Nasefa villages and some areas in Had Yafai in Lahj province.

The  tribal Resistance in Dhi Na'em, and al-Humaiqan in Halmous mountain and other neighboring sites foiled the Houthis' plan to circumvent the Resistance and reach the strategic mountain, which also overlooks the sites of Resistance.

The sources explained that the armed militias, at the end of last March, had paved a road leading to the mountain via an area " called a village, and reinforced their forces in the area throughout the week with military equipment, including military tanks for the first time.

Sources added that a number of al-Had tribes began to come to support al-Baida Resistance, while other tribal groups are preparing to secure al-Had tribal border.

The militias launched late on Sunday evening an attack on sites that they have already lost in the recent battles in al-Zaher district.

Local sources told Newsyemen that al-Omar, backed by al-Humaiqan Resistance had resisted the Houthi's attempt to restore sites liberated in Sunday's battle in Thi Na'em front in al-Baida province.
