The Houthi ministry of Endowments and Guidance in the Capital Sana'a  circulated unifying the schedule of call, Adhan, to Maghreb prayer amid the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

In an official circular, the ministry stressed the necessity of uniting the call in all mosques along with the Great Mosque in Sana'a, especially the call for Maghreb and al-Fajr prayers in an effort to delay Maghreb call, according to their Shiite doctrine.

The Houthis (the Iranian arm in Yemen) delay the date of Maghreb's call and the date of Iftar, break the fast, claiming that the night must be entered.

In some provinces, the Houthi militias tried to delay the date of Iftar until the darkness entered and not according to the local time of each province.

The Ministry circulated banning a Taraweeh prayer via microphone in reference to preventing Taraweeh prayers.

Last year there were clashes and arrests in more than a mosque in Sana'a, because the Houthis prevented Taraweeh prayers.
