The United Arab Emirates (UAE) condemned the terrorist attack carried out by the Houthi militias on Tuesday morning by a booby-trapped plane on the Saudi airport of Abha, injuring 9 civilians.

In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation strongly condemned "this act of terrorism, which violates all international laws and norms, as a new proof of the immoral practices and hostile and terrorist tendencies of the Iranian-backed Houthi militias and their efforts to undermine security and stability in the region."

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the attack as "a sin that targets the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the safety of its people, and represents a serious escalation, undermining efforts to reach a political solution.

"The UAE reiterated its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, its full support for the Kingdom, its support in all measures taken to protect its security and stability, and its support for all measures taken in the face of extremism and Houthi terrorism.

The statement underlined that the security of the UAE and the security of Saudi Arabia is indivisible and that any threat facing the Kingdom is considered by the State as a threat to the system of security and stability in the UAE.
