Informed sources told NewsYemen that the National Security Department in Taiz, run by the Islah Party, is detaining large numbers of political security elements without any charges requiring their imprisonment.

The sources added that the National Security in Taiz carried out campaigns to kidnap a number of former political security personnel who worked at the Department before 2011 and continued their work even after Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa's government.

The sources pointed out that ''the charges of members of political security'' is that they had worked with Saleh's Regime, although the official of the Department's branch Sadiq al-Amiri was working with Saleh regime.

Bakr Sadeq Sarhan, the son of the commander of the 22nd Brigade Sadiq Sarhan, along with Ghazwan al-Mekhlafi and another armed gang leader went to al-Amiri's house threatening to kill him if one of the detainees at the National Security Department is not released linked to the killing and assassination gangs in Taiz city.

After al-Amiri denied that the wanted was not imprisoned at the National Security Department, and later he was imprisoned at Taiz Military Axis, the General Abdulkarim al-Sabri, Taiz province Undersecretary for Defense and Security Affairs objected the storming of al-Amiri's house.

Meanwhile, the commander of the 22nd Brigade Sadiq Sarhan ordered Ghazwan and Abdulqawi al-Mekhlafi to go to al-Amiri's house to apologize.

''The leader of the most dangerous criminal gangs in Taiz Ghazwan al-Mekhlafi announced two days ago that he had been released after he surrendered himself to Taiz Authorities on the grounds of committing crimes which they have not been proven against him.''
