The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has played an active role since the first moments of the "Decisive Storm" operation in Yemen in 2015
The UAE forces joined the southern resistance on the ground in the liberation of the city of Aden, that resulted in limiting the expansion of the Iran-backed Houthi Militia
The UAE forces liberated the city of Marib, east of Sanaa, protected it from Houthi attacks, as well as liberated the Red Sea Coast of Yemen, formed local alliances to defeat the Iran-backed Houthi Militia and built the state
The UAE forces have also fought against Al Qaeda in Yemen in many southern areas, especially Hadramout, Shabwa and Abyan, and no longer has a place for its members
