Al-Shamiri: More than 86 forcibly abducted in prisons of Brotherhood in Taiz

A member of the Committee for the Involuntary Disappearance in Taiz province Abdulsattar Saif al-Shamiri, the head of the Juhod Studies Center ( Efforts ) disclosed that disappearance people are subjected to human rights violations likewise prisons in the Houthi prisons.

He pointed out that there is no real number of all the abductees because many of the people who have been hidden  have not been informed so far, but those who were able to report the Committee  in Taiz about 86 names were confirmed their presence in these prisons

He stressed that there are many enforced disappearances that were not highlighted because the families of the hidden people are afraid that if they talk about their sons in the Brotherhood prisons, the militias will execute them, and some of those who came out of the Brotherhood prisons, the Legitimacy and the government did not give them any guarantees for their safety to talk about what happened to them

Al-Shamiri said that the secret prisons in Taiz city Taiz arose with the beginning of the Resistance, which was established by the Islah Party

The most prominent of these prisons are at schools or institutes like Bakathir prison, the National Administrative Institute's prison, and Mohammed Ali Othman's prison, there are also prisons close to the headquarters of the Islah Party,  more than 11 prisons, and supervised by military leaders of the Islah Party, Security nothing know but some minor information

"We heard about bullets being fired at the prisoners' legs, and there is no doubt that some of those who were forcibly hidden have been killed," he said

Al-Shamiri said that the most of those who were hidden in secret prisons were involved in military operations against the Houthi militias. He pointed out that the hidden prisoners played a large role in liberating large areas of Taiz city

He made clear that the arrests and disappearances practiced by the Islah party came on the basis of personal execution, citing the story of the hidden "Adnan,"  who is one of the members of Abu al-Abbas Battalions in Taiz "Abu Abbas" who was brutally tortured by beating and shooting live bullets"

Al-Shamiri said at the end of his speech: "The conference, which was planned with one of the victims of the enforced disappearance on Tuesday has been postponed and was not canceled, and the reason of postponement that he has not receive some security guarantees for his and his family's safety
