In the fifth military Region, the National Army released civilians who had previously arrested them in Bani Hassan area in Abs district in Hajjah province, northwestern Yemen, and put them under house arrest
A local source told NewsYemen that the government forces in the fifth military region recently released a number of residents in Bani Hassan area, after being arrested under the pretext of their relatives are fighting alongside with the Houthi militias
However, the "Legitimate" forces released the civilians and imposed a kind of house arrest in the liberated district of Hiran, while they were prevented from returning to their villages in Bani Hassan
He added that among the detainees are elderly men suffering from chronic diseases, surprising the violation of their rights simply because of their relationship with some elements working for the Houthis in the region
According to the source, the citizens detained by the army forces in the Hiran district are: Ali Hassan Jabri (85 years), Hussein Hadi Hassan Jaber (65 years), two sons of the latter, along with a citizen named Ahmed Hadi Hassan Jabri and his son Othman
He pointed out that the western villages of Bani Hassan area witnessing a disaster of starvation among the population, as well as violations by the Legitimate forces against them, as well as looting of their property. The source said that some soldiers exploit the conditions of citizens and sell them ice cubes for 5 thousand riyals
