Left parties in Taiz warn of spreading of extremism and use of mosques in political platforms

Left parties in Taiz province have taken a unified stance on several issues, and issued a unified statement that speaks directly about imbalances in the province

The Socialist, Nasserite, and Ba'th Parties stressed their firm position to condemn the Houthi coup militias, and the continuation of the war and the siege on Taiz city

The political parties condemned the Houthi shelling on residential houses, killing and injuring innocent civilians in the city and on the outskirts of Taiz

The unified statement pointed out that internal conflict among the resistance forces against the Houthi militias doubled the suffering of civilians in the city

The political parties condemned the military and security imbalances, including the human rights activist Dr. AbdelHalim Al-Maga'ashi in Ammar bin Yasser mosque after he performed Isha prayer on Saturday, July 27, 2019, who was being accused of infidelity by extremist elements

The statement condemned the continued security imbalances, which are mostly issued by individuals who are counted on the national army in Taiz Military Axis without serious treatments leading to a good construction of the military in Taiz professionally and nationally away from party loyalties

The statement also denounced not to evacuate schools and educational institutes and allowed students in particular female students to reach their schools

The political parties, in the statement, called on President Hadi to form a Presidential committee to re-construct military brigades in Taiz in Taiz military Axis so as to complete the liberation of Taiz province

The statement called on the State to take all necessary measures to end the siege of Taiz and complete its liberation from the Houthi militias
