Proceedings of 24 hours of Houthi’s escalation in Hodeidah fronts

On Friday, August 30, 2019, the Iranian arm militia launched shelling with various types of weapons, artillery shells and mortar shells on villages and farms of citizens and joint forces positions in the areas of Durahemi, Al-Jajah, Hodeidah, Tahita and Hays.
Intense shelling- Tahita
On Friday evening, Houthi militias continued to bombard and target joint forces positions in Tahitha district south of Hodeidah with various types of weapons and artillery shells.
A military field source reported that the militias shelled the positions of the joint forces east of Tahita with 120-mm mortar shells and howitzer artillery shells, as well as Dushka, Pika and 12.7 weapons.
The source added that the bombardment and targeting of militias to the positions of the joint forces continued from the afternoon until the evening, intensive and violent.
Durahemi - Hodeidah
According to joint forces sources in the west coast, the Houthi militia targeted the villages and farms of citizens in Al-Duraimi and Al-Hudaydah city with various machine guns caliber 14: 5 and 12: 7 and pika rates, causing further damage to the houses and property of citizens.
The militia simultaneously launched mortar and rocket-propelled grenades, as well as machinegun fire at joint forces positions in Hodeidah.
The joint forces confirmed the movement of Houthi militias in the southern outskirts of Hodeidah.
Late on Friday, the joint reconnaissance unit of the Joint Forces monitored the movements and gatherings of Houthi militia pockets in the lines of communication in the Durahemi district south of Hodeidah.
Aljabalia Attack
On Friday, the joint forces on the west coast failed a violent attack by the Houthi terrorist militias on their positions east of aljabalia area south of Tahita district - south of Hodeidah.
A military source in the field, said that the militia members launched a fierce attack on the positions of the joint forces east of the region and used various types of weapons and shells. Soldiers of the joint forces were able to respond to the attack and the militia suffered heavy losses of equipment and lives, while the other elements fled.
Shelling and injury of a civilian - Hays
Earlier in the day, residential neighborhoods in the district of Hays, south of Hodeidah, were subjected to indiscriminate shelling throughout the city.
A citizen was wounded by Houthi militias targeting residential neighborhoods in Hais district south of Hodeidah province on Friday.
Local sources said that the militiamen shot fire at citizens houses and injured Jash Ali Mutaiwir with a gunshot wound at his foot. He was taken to Hays Field Hospital for first aid and then transferred to Al-Khokha Hospital to continue receiving treatment.
