The spokeman of the Arab coalition in Yemen, Colonel Turki al-Maliki, said that the site bombed by the coalition in Dhamar on Saturday night - Sunday is a "military target" and not a prison as claimed by Houthi militias.

Colonel al-Maliki said that the target site is a legitimate target, confirming that the coalition took all measures to avoid the civilians while targeting the site.

He said the target was about 10 kilometers from Dhamar.

Al-Maliki pointed out that the development of weapons of Houthi militias proves the presence of members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards in Yemen.

He also confirmed that "the port of Hodeidah is still the point from which the militias get weapons."

The coalition announced at dawn that it had destroyed a military site of the Houthi militia in Dhamar, south of Sana'a, which is a storehouse of drones and hostile air defense missiles.

He added that the targeting process was consistent with international humanitarian law and its customary rules, and that all preventive measures had been taken to protect civilians.
