Riyadh - Saudi Arabia has decided to boycott Doha as a result of "grave and public abuses" by the Qatari authorities since 1995, Riyadh said in a statement published on Saturday.

The statement said that Qatar "incited to deviate from the state, and undermine its sovereignty, and to embrace terrorist groups, including the Muslim Brotherhood, ISIS and Al-Qaeda, and to promote the literature and plans of these groups through the media permanently."

He added that Doha "violated the agreements signed under the umbrella of the Gulf Cooperation Council states," and also worked to "split the Saudi internal rank and incitement to exit the state and prejudice its sovereignty, and embrace multiple terrorist and sectarian groups aimed at destabilizing the region, which led to that  The four countries will take a decision to protect their national security. "

The statement confirmed that Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council "have exerted strenuous and continuous efforts to urge the authority in Doha to abide by its commitments and adherence to the agreements, but Qatar has consistently reneged on its international obligations and did not comply with the commitments signed in the Riyadh agreement in 2013, and after the three countries exhausted their political efforts  The Emir of Qatar reneged on his pledge to stop the negative policy, which led to the withdrawal of ambassadors and not return them only after the signing of the supplementary agreement in 2014.

"Regardless of the hostile practices perpetrated by the authorities in Doha, the Kingdom will continue to support the brotherly people of Qatar and support their security and stability. In this regard, the Kingdom has taken the necessary measures to address the humanitarian situations of Saudis and Qatari brothers affected by this resolution."
