The Press and Publications Court, which is under the control of the Houthis in Sana'a, has issued a court order to imprison Ahmed Ahmed Al-Asadi, a full year with force and fined half a million riyals, in addition to stopping the search engine "your press."

Al-Asadi published a press release attached to the verdict issued against him and the news engine he runs, with an appeal to stand and solidarity to lift the injustice.

According to the media, this is the first judgment of its kind in the history of the judiciary and the Yemeni press, as al-Asadi conveyed news through his news engine, not a publisher.

This action comes within the framework of the repressive practices of the Houthi militia and the confiscation of press and media freedoms to obscure their violations in their areas of control.
