The tribal affairs committee, which is controlled by the Houthi militias has completely suspended the allocation of all sheikhs and social personalities from the southern provinces.

Sources in the Committee revealed to Newsyemen that the leaders of the Houthi militias, led by the leader Ahmed Hamed (Abu Mahfouz), who is the director of the Presidency Office in the militia authority, is behind the decision to stop allocations for the sheikhs and dignitaries of the southern provinces without any justification.

The sources pointed out that the head of the newly appointed militia, Haneen Qutaina, was surprised that about (60) million riyals of the committee's budget is being supplied to a special account by the head of the presidential office, Houthi leader Ahmed Hamed.  And that when he wondered why this and that this violates the law and regulations?  "This is not your concern," Hamid said.

According to the same sources, the leaders of the Houthi militias stopped the drainage operations of the sheikhs and dignitaries who were registered in the lists and statements of the tribal affairs committee, and replaced most of them with loyal figures, and diverted the allocations that were paid to social figures and destinations from the southern governorates in favor of leaderships belonging to them, especially the sons of Sa'ada governorate.

It is worth mentioning that the budget of the tribal affairs was the subject of wide criticism by the forces opposed to the regime during the tenure of the former martyr Ali Abdullah Saleh, where the opposition parties and forces called for the abolition of the interest, but when it took power in 2012, it registered the largest number of followers and supporters  In the statements of the Department and raised its budget from (billion) and (363) million riyals in the state budget for 2011 to (2) billion and (849) million riyals in the state budget for 2014 during the assumption of Hadi and the government of Basindwa and the joint authority.

Following the seizure of power by the Houthi militias and state institutions, the tribal affairs were transferred to one of the institutions that exploited them for their benefit.  In addition, many of the Authority's allocations have been transferred to the accounts of its leaders under the name of supporting the war effort.
