The fuel stations in the city of Shibam, Hadramout, resumed the sale of fuel, after it was closed since last Wednesday, due to the threats from an Al-Qaeda member vowing to blow up the stations if they continue to operate.

The owner of the gas station told "Newsyemen", that the leader of Al-Qaeda, and the first responsible for the assassinations in Hadramout, "Qaboos bin Talib" came to several gas stations, and threatened to detonate if they continue to sell derivatives to citizens.

He added that the authorities of Hadramout, provided security protection to the stations by sending patrols and military vehicles to protect them, and monitor any movements of elements of Al-Qaeda.

Another local source told "Newsyemen" that the filling stations resumed the sale of fuel on Sunday morning amid tight security guards, especially the Shibam model station of the Yemeni oil company, which has the largest fuel tanks in the valley of Hadramout.
