Destroying amount of expired food in Mocha

On Monday, September 23, 2019, a quantity of expired goods and foodstuffs were destroyed, following an inspection campaign that covered the markets of the Mocha Directorate.
Industry and Trade Office Director Munir al-Eraiki said that the expired food was seized during an inspection campaign that covered shops in Mocha.
He added that the destruction took place in the presence of representatives of the local council and the environmental health of the Works Office, confirming that upcoming campaigns will be carried out periodically to control the violating traders.
He explained that the amount burned included canned food and food flavors, some of which their expiring date back to 2016.
The seized quantities revealed the disregard of some retailers and shops for people's lives.
