The local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in the province of Hadramout, southeast of Yemen, condemned the attack by the forces of the first military region, loyal to General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, on the distribution of food baskets provided by the Council to the families of the martyrs and wounded and families in need.

The local leadership of the Transitional Council, in an official statement described the attack as "barbaric and thugs behavior."

The statement pointed out that Abu Auja forces took members of the Committee to distribute food baskets to detention after assaulting them with rifle butts.

He added that the forces of the first military area confiscated the equipment and furniture of the local headquarters of the transition in cotton, and destroyed his papers and contents of important documents, and seized the food and distributed to its soldiers.

The statement demanded the immediate release of the detained members of the Committee: Abdulaziz al-Bakri, deputy head of the local leadership in the cotton directorate, Mohsen Hussein al-Haddar, and Anwar Mubarak bin Ali al-Haj, a member of the executive body.

The statement blamed the military governor of the cotton directorate "Hadi Tamira" and the leadership of the first military area and held them the responsibility for the incident, warning of the slide in the situation in Hadramout military confrontation, adding that the patience of the southern resistance will not last.
