More than thirty thousand children were recruited by the Houthi militia

The recruitment of child soldiers in Yemen represents one of the grave violations of this age group for the loss of its rights by the Houthi militias, the Iranian arm in Yemen.
Many observers believe that the Houthi militia resort to recruiting children after society rejects its ideology, orientation and its absurd war on the Yemeni people and focuses on children because they are the most vulnerable which facilitate the process of indoctrination of different ideological ideas and sectarian forms.
According to the Ministry of Human Rights in Hadi government, it has confirmed the documentation of the names of more than 30,000 children recruited by the Houthi militia and forced them to fight in its ranks, describing the recruitment of children to be a destroyer to the present and future of Yemen and its consequences and disastrous and will create a more radical and violent generation.
Minister Ahmed Askar said that the militia's goal of recruitment is to brainwash the children and to create a more radical and violent generation after they are removed from school and thrown into barricades without respect for all international laws and conventions.
Observers and human rights organizations for children demand the immediate cessation of the recruitment and involvement of children in direct hostilities or other tasks prohibited by national laws and legislation.
The overall statistics on child abuse in the country are estimated to have killed and injured 2705 children due to forced recruitment by Houthi militia.
