Major General Ibn Brik: The South must be represented in any negotiations to end the Yemen crisis

The President of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, Major General Ahmed Said bin Brik, said at a meeting of the governing body, that the council's leadership called in more than one statement on the occasion that the south should be represented in any upcoming UN-led negotiations that would end the crisis and resolve the southern issue to come up with solutions that guarantee sustainable peace for the region.

 He pointed out that the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council welcomed and responded to the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the efforts of Saudi Arabia for dialogue, pointing out that the negotiating team headed by Major General Aidroos Al-Zubaidi, is engaged in the process of dialogue there.

He stressed the need to take responsibility in all sincerity and to stand impartially in front of all the issues at hand to develop the appropriate solutions and remedies for them, and to spread a culture of tolerance and dialogue with all the people of the South and create a community awareness supportive and processions for all important national and political issues.

He added, "The next stage is a challenge to accomplish the tasks that the people of the south aspire to achieve, and this will only be achieved through concerted efforts, unity and agreement on commonalities."

 The President of the National Assembly said, "The South is fine, regardless of opinions and views, we consider it a healthy phenomenon to correct any mistakes to reach the goal we want to build the South and overcome all the remnants of the past,"
