Kidnapping of a girl from her mother in al-Shafei neighborhood of Mukalla

A woman in her third decade lost her two-year-old baby girl on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 2, as she toured a clothing store in the Shafei district of Mukalla, in the first incident of its kind.
Witnesses told Newsyemen that the child was walking with her mother in a clothing store in Shafei area, west of Mukalla. While the woman was busy paying to the seller, a citizen believed to be from outside Hadhramaut kidnapped the girl, "Rawan.
According to witnesses, the kidnapper took the child to his car quickly, and when she started screaming, he assured the citizens that the child was his daughter and she is screaming because he could not buy some items.
Witnesses added that the owner of the shop went with some citizens to search for the kidnapper and the girl leaving his shop unguarded, while others went to inform the competent authorities of the incident.
Witnesses were surprised that the kidnapper did this, pointing out that the lady assured them that their relations with others are not untroubled.
At the time of writing, no child or positive information about the incident has been found.
