On Wednesday, the UAE Red Crescent opened Al-Farouq School in Mocha, Taiz governorate, as the sixth rehabilitation school in the West Coast.

Abdullah Al-Hubaishi, Crescent representative in the West Coast, said that the aim of the return to school campaign is to enable some 16,000 students to return to their classes and continue their education, along with 8,000 students who have been absorbed by the schools that were opened earlier.

He added that the restoration of schools was based on a field study, so that at least one school in each densely populated area is rehabilitated to ensure that education is not interrupted along the west coast.

For his part, Sultan Mahmoud, Director General of Mocha Directorate, said that the Crescent Authority has filled the great void in the Authority and restored the wheel of life in the Directorate of Mocha and all the directorates of the West Coast to rotation

The Director of Al-Farouq School Mohammed Salem Makki said that the restoration, rehabilitation, furnishing and opening of the school enabled more than 500 students to return to their classes.

Al-Farouq is the sixth school to be opened as part of Al-Hilal's return campaign, which includes 16 schools, which the Houthi militia have destroyed.
