Haq publishes its report on the events of August 2019 in Aden

Haq Organization for the Defense of Rights and Freedoms held a press conference on Saturday to announce its report on the events of August 2019 in Aden, southern Yemen, and its relationship with the fight against terrorism since 2015.

During the press conference, the president of the organization, Al-Khader Al-Maissari, gave a comprehensive presentation of the report's content and the mechanisms of preparing it, which ranged from office work, analysis, field descending, interviewing victims and their families, and the relevant authorities and documenting evidence.

Academic researchers Mohammed Nasser al-Awlaki and Fadl al-Rubaie, president of Madar Center for Strategic Studies, also made two presentations on the report, in which they discussed the elements of its construction, the importance of its contents and the abundance of information and statistics contained therein.

 Haq distributed copies of the report in Arabic and English to the press conference participants, journalists, media professionals, activists, researchers and community leaders.

The participants stressed that the August 2019 attack on peaceful protesters and citizens by forces affiliated with the legitimacy, a violation of human rights and crimes against civilians and should be punished.

 They considered that the actions of the security belt forces and southern forces work project falls within the framework of self-defense and protection of the southern citizen.

They stressed that terrorism is a threat that must be combated and fought in all circumstances, warning that the suspicious relationship between military leaders in the government and terrorist organizations and countries supporting terrorism poses a double threat not only to Yemen, but the security and stability of the region.
