The Islah Party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, extended control of the city of Marib, east of Sanaa, after the Brotherhood's last battle against the tribes of Ashraf.
The Brotherhood accused their opponents in Marib of loyalty to the Houthis to justify war on them, expel them and loot their land in preparation for investment and raising the living standards of the population.
The city of Marib has witnessed great reconstruction in real estate, but it belongs to the Brotherhood and not to the people of Marib, where the people live in the outskirts of the city, and did not benefit from it.
