Al-Talahum Feminist association trains displaced women in the dairy industry in Abyan

A training course for displaced women was organized in Abyan governorate, southern Yemen, in the field of manufacturing dairy products, cheese and livestock products, by Al-Talahum association.

The course was held in al-Mesaimeer area in Khanfar district, and targeted displaced women with animal wealth, and they were 15 women.

The course aimed at training displaced women on how to manufacture livestock products, dairy products, yogurt and municipal cheese in the context of developing and upgrading the capacities of local communities and rural women, especially displaced women in Abyan governorate.

Huda Al-Awash, president of the Al-Talahum Feminist Association, explained the training course aimed at introducing displaced women in the Mesaimeer area, how to make cheese and dairy products, so that they can depend on themselves and provide a source of income to alleviate the suffering of their families from displacement.  
"We have sensitized the displaced women participating in the training course on the proper rules for milking cows and improving the quality of milk for small breeders," Al-Awash said.
