The UAE ranks third in funding from 81 countries to support the UN Humanitarian Plan for Yemen 2019

The United Nations Humanitarian Response Plan (YRP) in Yemen reached US $ 447,167,000 in the first nine months of the year, according to OCHA data.

The UAE ranked third in funding for Yemen's Humanitarian Response Plan for this year, after Saudi Arabia and the United States, out of 81 countries that have provided financial support to fund the UN Humanitarian Response Plan in Yemen 2019.

The United Nations and its partners launched Yemen's 2019 Humanitarian Response Plan, which seeks $ 4.2 billion to help 19 million people, including 12 million people receiving emergency food assistance each month, the largest single humanitarian appeal ever launched for Yemen.

According to UN data, 267 organizations operate under the YHRP's activities and programs in Yemen, including 10 UN agencies, 38 international NGOs (INGO), 206 national NGOs (NNGO) and 13 Yemeni government agencies.

In addition to the UAE funding provided to the UN Humanitarian Plan for Yemen 2019, the UAE provides additional funding outside the UN Humanitarian Plan for Yemen, through the UAE Red Crescent, which is active in several Yemeni governorates.

The UAE Crescent is active in all major humanitarian sectors: health, education, water, sanitation and hygiene, malnutrition, food security, nutrition, protection and human rights, shelter and non-food items, camp management and coordination, and sector  In addition to the establishment of collective weddings for the marriage of young people and the provision of oil grants to power stations in the liberated governorates.
