Coast Guard warns fishermen against cyclone "Kiar"

The Coast Guard, in Aden, southern Yemen, has warned all fishermen not to go to the sea in the next two days.

 "We warn all fishermen not to go to the sea during Monday and Tuesday, because of the approaching tropical storm Kiar," the bureau said in a statement.

It also warned citizens and beach-goers against swimming and walking along the coasts over the next two days, calling on all to take caution and take the necessary preventive measures.

The Department confirmed its readiness to receive any emergency calls and provide assistance through the publication of several emergency numbers.

The cyclone is expected to hit the coasts of a number of southern governorates (Mahra, Hadramout, Abyan, Aden and Lahj).

 The cyclone "Kiar" is one of the strongest degree  of hurricanes, the most violent and destructive, after it is on the outskirts of entry under the classification of the fifth category, according to meteorologists.
